BY-LAWS OF THE IRISH SETTER CLUB OF VICTORIA (INC.)
By Law No. 1: Annual Subscription and Joining Fee
The annual subscription and/or Joining fee shall be determined in accordance with Rule 4 of the Rules of the Club and shall be in respect of the period 1st July to 30th June of the following year.
By Law No. 2: Office Bearers and Committee
The Office Bearers shall consist of: -
President
Two (2) Vice-Presidents
Secretary
Assistant Secretary and
Treasurer
The Committee of the Club shall consist of not more than eight (8) persons.
By Law No. 3: Tenure of Office
The Office Bearers and Committee shall be appointed for a period of one year, all of whom shall vacate their office each year subject to Rule 25 of the Rules of the Club but shall be eligible for re-election.
By Law No. 4: Quorum
The quorum for a meeting shall be
(a) Committee Meeting – 50% of the members of the Committee
(b) Sub-Committee Meeting – 50% of the members of the Sub-Committee
(c) General Meeting of Members – 30 Financial Members
By Law No. 5: The Membership of the Club shall consist of: -
(a) Single Membership
(b) Dual Membership
(c) Life Member –
Any person may be nominated as a life Member of the Club in recognition of services rendered to the Club, or services rendered towards any of the objects of the Club, however not more than two persons may be appointed as Life Members of the Club in any one year.

(d) Honorary Member-
Any person nay is nominated as an Honorary Member for one financial year, but such nominations shall not exceed four in any one financial year.
(e) Junior Member –
Any person under the age of sixteen years of age may be a Junior Member of the Club, but shall cease to a Junior Member at the end of the Financial Year in which he or she attains their sixteenth year in accordance with Rule 2 of the Rules of the Club.
(f) Social Member
By Law No. 6: Committee
Where any member objects to a decision of the Committee and required that decision be rescinded the member must submit the objection in writing and lodge it with the Secretary at least 30 days prior to the General Meeting of members at which the objection is to be discussed. The Secretary shall inform all members of the motion lodged for discussion at the next meeting by post or publication through the Club’s Newsletter.
